She continued her dance education through high school, college, and beyond at Culture Shock Dance Center, Academy of Performing Arts, and Westlake Dance Center. With a diverse background in jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, cheer, and tap, Amy started competing at the age of six.

While in San Diego, she was a member of the Funkanometry San Diego and PGN Dance Company hip-hop crews. Most recently, she has trained with ZTHEORY, Zay’s Baes, XZQT Dance, and through the Cameron Lee Mentorship Program.

Amy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of San Diego (USD), where she was a four-year member of the Dance Team. She began choreographing in her second year, served as Captain during her junior and senior years, and later became Assistant Coach, eventually stepping into the role of Head Coach.

Amy has been teaching dance since she was 16 years old and has spent the last decade pursuing her passion full-time, coaching and instructing students of all ages across various dance styles. She became the Director of Dance Elite in May 2015 and took over as owner in May 2017. She is passionate about fostering a strong sense of family and community at the studio while bringing high-quality dance and music education to all students.
