Join us each week for a Contemporary Dance Class, a dynamic and expressive style that blends various techniques to inspire creativity and personal interpretation. Led by Emi (@emimuguni), a seasoned choreographer, dancer, and teacher, this class offers a unique opportunity to explore movement with expert guidance.

    • Class Structure:
      Warm-Up: Begin with a 20-minute warm-up focused on stretching, strength-building exercises, and breath work to prepare the body and enhance flexibility, coordination, and body awareness.

      Technique & Drills: Sharpen your skills with focused drills and movement exercises that build a strong foundation in contemporary techniques, such as body alignment, weight shifts, and floor work.

      Choreography: Spend 30 minutes learning a mini-choreography each week. The routine progresses in manageable sections, making it easy to follow and perfect for drop-ins. Each piece is inspired by diverse themes and concepts, encouraging collaboration and personal expression.

      Cool-Down: Wrap up with a calming cool-down session to stretch, relax, and reflect on the class experience.

      Weekly Structure & Finale:

      • Each week features a fresh combination of drills and choreography, allowing you to drop in anytime and still gain valuable skills.

      • At the end of choreography weeks, we’ll review and optionally record the complete routine—a great way to celebrate your progress!

Q: I have no dance experience, can I join this class?

A: This class is designed for students with some basic experience in dance. We do not recommend it to absolute beginners.

Q: I have experience with Contemporary already, will this workshop be useful?

A: Yes absolutely. This class will start with some dance fundamentals such as drills and stretching and evolve into a choreography.
